WHO IS DR. ELMER IRETON?

DR. IRETON EQUIPS INDIVIDUALS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE TO CONQUER SOME OF THE LARGEST CHALLENGES PHYSICIANS FACE IN THE MEDICAL FIELD TODAY

Dr. Elmer Ireton currently serves as a Core Faculty in Family Medicine as well as holds the Associate Director position for the Geriatric Fellowship. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine and holds an Added Qualification in Geriatrics and Hospice and Palliative Care.

Since serving as a Certified Medical Director for Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care Facilities, Dr. Ireton has grown a passion for teaching and education. He has provided educational speeches at various Medical Conferences and enjoys providing medical care to the Older Adult Population as well as their Family and Caretakers.

Dr. Elmer Ireton received his Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science as a joint degree offered by University of Texas San Antonio and University of San Antonio Health Science Center. He attended medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara where he obtained his Degree in Medicine.

Dr. Ireton attended one year at New York Medical College for additional Clinical Training and completed a Family Medicine Residency at Christus Spohn in Corpus Christi, Texas. He furthered his education by completing a Fellowship in Geriatrics.

Dr. Ireton went on to complete an Emergency Medicine Residency through the Christus Spohn System. He recently added Certified Medical Director to his many accomplishments. Today he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children as well as finds interest in music, linguistics and languages now making him a fluent spanish speaker.
